The terms & conditions of ISTE Visiting Professor Scheme are as follows :
 
1.            The Professor must be a member of ISTE.
 
2.            The Professor is expected to spend 4 weeks of his time during the financial year (2010-11) to teach and interact in a minimum of two and maximum of four institutions (other than his own institution) in his own State or in an adjoining state only. Visiting Professors are advised to visit one institute only once in the same financial year.
 
3.            Assuming 5 working days in a week, the total number of working days will not exceed 20 days with a minimum workload of 4 contact hours per day
 
4.            The Professor will participate in various academic activities namely : Class-room work and Lab. Experiments, Guidance to Faculty on Teaching, Research, Continuing Education, Industry-Institute Interaction, Learning Resource Development, Student Counselling, Subject-updating etc. and such other activities which willl help to improve the teaching/learning environment in the institution.
 
5.            The names of the Visiting Professor identified/selected by ISTE will be published in the ISTE Newsletter with area of specialization and their address with their contact numbers. Interested institutions will be advised to contact you directly and invite you. The actual dates of visit could be finalized between Visiting Professor and the Host Institution under intimation to ISTE, New Delhi.
 
Incentives :
 
·                     ISTE will pay an honorarium @ Rs.1000/- per day spent at the institution upto a maximum of 20 working days during the financial year as per clause 3 above.
 
·                     II AC train fare from the residence to city of the host institution and back (to & fro)as per norms. Used copy of the tickets are to be submitted with the claim which is essential as per Audit norms.
 
·                     Admissible DA for journey period.
 
·                     Host institute will provide local hospitality such as boarding & lodging, local transport etc. to Visiting Professor.
 
·                     ISTE will issue a Certificate of Appreciation to each Visiting Professor after satisfactory completion of the Visiting Professorship of the year on request.
 
·                     The Acceptance duly signed by you must be routed through Head of the Institutions, if you are in service.
 
Submission of the Report :
 
            The Visiting Professor will submit the following documents to ISTE office at the end of the Visiting Professorship for the reimbursement of their claim.
 
1.            Copy of the invitation letter issued by the host institute inviting Visiting Professor for visit.
 
2.            Brief report of the visit in the concerned institution duly signed by the Visiting Professor (as indicated in clause 4).
 
3.            TA Bill form duly signed along with tickets/copies of the tickets with correct mailing address.
 
4.            Filled honorarium form duly signed by the Visiting Professor.
 
5.            Visits made within the financial year 2010-11 will only be reimbursed.
