1. PROF. P. DAYARATNAM

Prof. Dayaratnam made outstanding contributions to Academics, Teaching, Research, Structural Design and Development in Civil Engineering during the last five decades. He joined IIT Kanpur in 1965 and served in various capacities for three decades. He started his teaching and research career at Andhra University, initiated post-graduate programme in Structural Engineering in 1963 for the first time in Andhra Pradesh. During his three year term as Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Technological University, Hyderabad he provided outstanding leadership in modernizing curriculum at the university, specially geared towards computer applications, initiated the process of affiliating colleges to the University. Inspired research environment and outreach for research projects and organize national and international conferences at the University. Dr. Dayaratnam interacted with Civil Engineering industry and engineers through various consulting projects. Several sponsored research projects from CSIR, DST, Board of Research for Nuclear Science, Highway Research Board etc. were undertaken by him as Principal Investigator. As a member of many national and international committees on Research and Standards, he set latest trends in quality assurance and non-destructive testing facility.

2. Dr. S.M. CHATTERJEE

Dr. S.M. Chatterjee, former Vice Chancellor, Bengal Engineering & Science University, Howrah and former Director, Technical Education, Government of West Bengal. Advisor West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, Advisor West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training, Handloom & Textile – Cottage & Small Scale Industries, Govt. of West Bengal. Recipient of many National & International Awards. Fellow member of various National & International Bodies. Man of the Year 2008 (USA). Executive Committee Member of AICTE, ISM Dhanbad, ISTE and in various universities. Ex. Sydicate Member Calcutta University & Member Court Jadavpur University.

Dr. Chatterjee a distinguished academics a Gold Medalist in B.Tech., got Ph.D. from Calcutta University, a Chartered Engineer remained merit scholar & fellow all along his technical education career. He published innumerable research papers & technical articles in many National & International Journal of repute. Currently he is serving as Advisor to many bodies of Govt. of West Bengal as well as Govt. of India & Chairman of number of Institutes & professional bodies,

3. PROF. N. RAMACHANDRAN

Prof. N. Ramachandran is a Civil Engineering Graduate, an M.E in Transportation Engineering and Management and a Ph.D in Architecture. He is a fellow and member in various professional National and International organisations.

He has a total Teaching and Work experience of 28 years including his service as the principal of Periyar Maniammai College of Technology for Women, Thanjavur since 1994 and the founding Vice-Chancellor of Periyar Maniammi University from 2007.

He has received many a prestigious Award such as WEC-IIEE-IAWP Environment Award (1997), Best ISTE National Chapter Chairman Award (2001), ISTE Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan National Award (2003) for the Best Engineering College principal , ISTE Honorary Fellowship(2008) etc.

He participated in many a National and International Conference and Chaired INDO-GERMAN workshop on Environmental Protection on Water Management organised in collaboration with RWTH Aachen University, Germany (2004).

He has served in many capacities in University academic bodies and administration and presently serves as the member of the Syndicate and the Academic Council of the Anna University, Chennai, the National Vice-President ISTE New Delhi, an Expert Committee member for Environmental Clearance of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India etc.

4. DR. D.S. HIRA

Dr. D. S. Hira, Director, Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Tangori, Mohali. He has done his B.Sc Engg. (Mechanical), & M.Sc. Engg. (Mech.) and Ph.D. from University of Roorkee, Roorkee. His Area of Specialisation is
Analysis & Optimization of Flow Line Production Systems Advanced Operation Research, Computer Aided Manufacturing System Simulation & Ergonomics. He has guided 13 M.E. thesis, 41 research papers and 5 text books.

He remained the member of various academic bodies in Panjab University (Chandigarh), Punjabi University (Patiala) , Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar), SLIET (Longowal), Punjab Technical University and number of committees in ISTE.

5. Prof. Y. Vrushabhendrappa

Prof. Y. Vrushabhendrappa, Director, Bapuji Institute of Engineering & Technology, Davangere, Karnataka is a renowned Mechanical Engineer has got more than 40 years of teaching as well as administrative experience in various capacities in various organization. His area of interest includes Engineering Graphics, work study, personal & production management, production planning & control, accreditation procedure & budgeting. He has published many technical papers in reputed journals, national & international. He has also published number of technical papers in the conferences in India as well as abroad. He is member of many scientific & professional bodies including ISTE, ASMIE, Fellow of Institutes of Engineers etc. He is also recipient of many National awards, distinguished Engineer of the year 2002, Sir. M. Vishverwaraiah Award for 2002, Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan National Award for Best Engineering College Principal of 2001 etc. He has developed many lab manuals and instrumental in starting various UG & PG courses in various engineering disciplines. He is also instrumental in getting accreditation of NBA, AICTE in almost all the Engineering Branches of BIET. He played a key role to have tie-ups with many reputed organizations like Swiss Agency (SDC), Pentasoft, Sun Microsystem, IBM, Grasim, Karnataka State Council of Science & Technology etc. He has also delivered lectures on many topics in various universities. Served as a selection committee to select VC, VTU Belgaum. Served a member to review functions of AICTE constituted by MHRD Govt. of India at Chennai. He also served as a member in various universities as Board of Studies as well as in Academic Council. He also worked Member and Chairman of various committees of VTU Belgaum etc.
