President’s Message
Welcome to the website of Indian Society for Technical Education. You will find a wealth of information in this site whether you are a member of ISTE or just someone interested in Engineering Education. ISTE was founded in the year 1967 with a mission to advance for the cause of education in general and all its function which pertain to engineering and allied branches of engineering and technology, architecture and town planning, pharmacy, management, process of teaching and learning, research, extension services and public relations in particular. The main goal is to serve as a common agency for stimulating and guiding its members to formulate the general goals and responsibilities of technical education for the service of mankind and the advancement of general welfare.
ISTE has a good reputation in the field of technical education and it strives hard in order to cultivate a fraternal spirit among teachers, administrators, technicians, investigators, practitioners and industrialists. ISTE cooperates with Central and State Governments industry and approved institutions, professional bodies, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Department of Science and Technology (DST) and individuals in the cause of technical education and research.ISTE continues to be a leading non-profit making professional body in engineering in India. In the context of the new globalized economy in which we live it is important that we remain focused on our mission to promote excellence in the field of technical education and provide quality services to our members.
